South Transdanubian Regional Foreign Relations Committee
The South Transdanubian Regional Development Council (hereinafter: Council) with its decision 167/2006. (XII.20) has re-established the South Transdanubian Regional Foreign Relations Committee (hereinafter: Committee), regulating its composition and adjusted its tasks.
The Committee acts as initiator of the foreign relations policy of the South Transdanubian Region, makes proposals to the Council concerning issues of foreign relations, represents the region abroad and in Hungary in case of foreign partners’ visits.
Tasks:
- Provides professional support to the drafting and elaboration of the region’s foreign relations strategy:
- makes proposals to the general objectives and priorities of the region’s foreign relations strategy;
- monitors the work of the strategy’s elaboration;
- after disputation submits the elaborated draft of the foreign relations strategy to the Council.
- By its means available helps to achieve the objectives set in the approved foreign relations strategy.
- Develops the regions existing foreign relations, deepens the cooperation.

Secretarial tasks are fulfilled by the head of the foreign relations with the Agency.
