Regional planning
In order for an effective use of EU funds, thorough ang solid palnning is necessary not only at nation, but regional level, as well.
To comply with this task and opportunity the Agency elaboreted the South Transdanubian Opearational Programme for 2007-2013, and the relating action plans, as well.
As specific objectives, the develpoment of the region of high environmental quality and competitive economy, creation of new work places, reduction of the migration of the population and creation of strong social solidarity were set.
Programme management of proposals, MA and Customer service
Both in the short and in the long terms the implementation of the South Transdanubian Operational Programme for the programming period 2007-2013 of the EU plays a determinant role int the Agency’s life; strating from the preparation works of action plans and of calls for proposals of given period up to the monitoring of the implementation of projects been supported.
The implementation of the programme is promoted by qualified customer service available by telephone, e-mail and personally in the Pécs office. (contact linkelve)
Project development
Project plans need to be submitted in a form of highly elaborated proposals in order to award grants. In order to succeed it is important to define the develpoment potentials and opportunities of the region, that is, project generation and the development of them based on the consensus of regional actors are necessary. Part of the Agency’s functions is the management and handling of regional prioritised projects; the Agency plays a regional coordinating role int this project development process.
Promotion of the development of regional innovation
Innovation indirectly influences life conditions and general well-being through the improvement of efficiency of economic process. Based on that function of innovation and on the results obtained in this field the Agency founded the South Transdanubian Regional Innovation Agency non-profit limited company by involving regional organisations interested in this theme in 2008. (DDRIÜ linkelve) The objective of the new company is to enhance the innovation related activeness of regional enterprises, as well as, to ensure a synergic operation of regional organisations of innovation.
