The establishment of the Brussels Representation of South Transdanubia, its concept, tasks
The South Transdanubian Regional Development Council with its decree of 64/2006 (V. 31.) established the Brussels Representation of South Transdanubian Region (Representation). The Representation in the first years operated within the framework of the Representation of the Regions of Hungary (RRH) which was established in May 2000. The Representation is not a self-reliant, not a Belgium-registered regional representation.
The Representation was established by the 1st of July 2006., the everyday operation has started by the 1st of September. The permanent Brussels presence of the delegate was replaced by a temporary one starting from the 1st Janaury 2008. (The representative spends - on an average basis - one week in each month in Bruxelles.)
From the 1st January 2009. on, as a result of a longer negotiation process, the Representation operates in cooperation with the Slavonija-Baranja Regional Development Agency's Brussels Representation. The new office of is located in the European Quarter of Bruxelles, close to the most important European Institutions.
